First the negative: - There are a couple of formatting errors, most seem to be in the Index, but one is in the middle of how to read the patterns, which is pretty disappointing. Seems like an odd thing to miss in the editing process.- There are no step by step photos so if you are someone who learns better through pictures than through text, this book may not be that useful for you.- A couple of projects feel like filler because how many of the traditional God’s Eye diamond shape do we really need?Now for the good:- The written directions are pretty simple so even if you do struggle to learn via text, you might be okay so long as you keep track of what arm is which and where you are in a pattern.- There are some really pretty intermediate - advanced projects, which is what I personally bought it for, so I’m happy.Overall: not a perfect book but fairly easy to follow with some really nice designs once you graduate from the versions you’ve probably already seen and/or made. If the author writes more books with new designs, I would definitely purchase them.
